Source of inspiration
Painting inspired by the work of the artist Guy Bégin.
Just like the painting The Mystical Flight of Suzanne, no. 0069, inspired by a work by Ozias Leduc, this painting was inspired by the painter of scents, the artist Guy Bégin, and refers to my wife’s passage on earth and her departure for the heavens on August 5, 2000, she being represented by a rose that crosses through the wall.
The Fondation Claudette-Bernier had a commemorative poster of this painting produced in 425 copies in 2001, on which the following words appear:
In a garden, in the shade of a wall, a rose was growing gently.
One day, drawn by the light filtering through a wide crack, the rose, little by little, crossed through the wall.
You who mourn her loss, take comfort, for the rose still blooms, more beautiful than ever, in the LIGHT OF THE MOST HIGH.
