Story

The Maison BIARD, located on the shore of L’Anse-du-Nord in Percé, was built in 1901.

The building, which is part of the Percé heritage site, belonged to John Le Marquand and his associate Charles Biard, both dealers in salted-dried cod.

Chef Ricardo Larrivée and his spouse Madame Brigitte Coutu acquired it for personal purposes in 2023 in order to carry out its restoration.

Université Laval, which owned this heritage house, had put it up for sale in June 2022, creating controversy.

The couple wishes to protect the building and ensure its longevity for generations to come.
