Tribute to Famous Rock Bands from 1962 to 2014...

This poster is inspired by the fantasies of Dali and the Spanish graffiti artists of Barcelona, and is meant as a Tribute to the famous Rock bands of my adolescence that I saw perform at orchestra competitions at the L’Escapade discotheque in Saint-Hyacinthe, namely: the Hou-Lops (active from 1962 to 1969 and reformed in 1990) originally made up of my friend and painter Yvan Côté on lead guitar, René Larose, Gilles Rousseau as singer, Jean-Claude Domingue replaced by René Hamelin in 1968, Jean-Claude Bernard on bass, and Claude Laviollette on drums...

and to Sir Paul McCartney of the Beatles (active from 1962 to 1970), the most popular Rock band in the world, whom I had the pleasure of seeing live on the Ed Sullivan Show, Sunday, February 9, 1964 at 8:00 p.m., triggering a cultural earthquake... according to La Presse...

and to my friend, painter Yvan Côté, who today is also still part of the no less famous group Câline de Gang, which will perform at the théatre La Scène in Saint-Hyacinthe on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 8:00 p.m... Bravo Yvan for your perseverance...!!! Looking forward to seeing you on stage again with Câline de Gang and dancing to your music in memory of our younger years...!!!
